Kids & Dogs

Having a new dog and small children can be tricky sometimes, but don't let a few speed bumps stop you from having the dog of your dreams. Now I won't discuss common sense, such as leaving a newborn with your pet Rottweiler alone, but I will discuss introducing your pet to your children. Always monitor your children and your dog carefully when they interact, your dog needs to get used to the child and should already be trained in obedience such as no biting or jumping on people. Now let them get to know each other and play around a bit, let your son, daughter, niece, nephew, etc. play fetch with him and show him or her some love. Did I mention kids love dogs? Having your children love your dog as much as you do can be a heartwarming experience and provide hours of entertainment and fun for all three parties.
